A Psalm Triptych was premiered on October 14, 2001 at the First Evangelical Free Church of Fullerton, California by Doris Fuqua with Carol Hughes accompanying, and was recorded in 2001 for Doris Fuqua’s CD, Morning.
A Psalm Triptych was performed by Erin Kishpaugh, accompanied by Michelle Hontz, during J.A.C. Redford’s 2004 residency at Marshall University, in partial fulfillment of Ms. Kishpaugh’s Master of Arts degree. Her thesis was devoted to J.A.C. Redford’s A Psalm Triptych as Sonic Altarpiece. Patricia Dawson recorded “Shout for Joy to the Lord,” the first Psalm of the triptych, for her CD A Legacy of Song. The SA version of the third Psalm of the triptych, “Great Is the Lord,” was recorded in 2004 by the Bel Canto Women’s Choir of Azusa Pacific University, led by David Hughes, for its CD from One Generation to Another. The SATB version of this Psalm was performed in Oxford and Cambridge at the C. S. Lewis Foundation’s Oxbridge 2008 conference by the C. S. Lewis Summer Institute Chorale conducted by Stanley L. Roberts of Mercer College. The LSU A Cappella choir, directed by Kenneth Fulton, performed two movements from the SATB version of A Psalm Triptych in 2009.
